Our name
The society that builds the owner, not just the business
BOS stands for Building One’s Self. The name is the whole point. A business grows only as far as the person running it, so we invest in that person first. The Business Owner Society began as a support group for women business owners who wanted more than a networking card swap.
We keep the group small on purpose. Every member is seen, heard and matched with the people best equipped to help them grow. That is what turns a room of strangers into a board of directors, a support group and a marketplace all at once.
What we believe
Four things we will not compromise on
No judgment
Bring the messy parts too. From business roadblocks to family pressure, this is a safe place to say it out loud and get real help.
Quality over quantity
Twelve seats per meeting is a feature, not a limit. Depth of relationship beats the size of the room every single time.
Invest in young people
The society is run almost entirely by a next generation army. We practice what we preach through NextGen BOS.
Share first
We trade, collaborate and refer within the community first. Generosity, not extraction, is the operating system.
Our work
From one circle to a whole society
What began as a single support circle now spans three connected rooms. BOS Club keeps the inner circle for women building solo. NextGen BOS takes the same lessons to young people who never got them at school. The BOS Blog shares the ideas, platforms and news that affect how our members work.
Along the way the people behind the society have been featured nationally, and our programs have earned recognition from peers in the industry. The community is the work, and the work speaks for itself.
